Elastomers division
Thanks to many years of experience in rubber vulcanization field, elastomers division adds an essential distinctive value to the whole Group in terms of technology, quality and specialization.
This division has both compression and injection machines and uses more than one hundred moulds, some of them belong to its customer and some are own moulds.
The technical items produced by elastomers divison are mainly made of:
styrene rubber (SBR): it is a styrene-butadiene copolymer, it is abrasion resistant and it has a good stability towards aging, oils and grease. It is generally fit for low cost items.
ethylene-propylene-diene (EPDM): it is an ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer, which maintaines in time its elasticity and has a very good heating and external agents resistance.
nitrilic rubber (NBR): it is a butadien-acril-nitril copolymer, it has good mechanical features and a low permanent deformation.
closed cell polyurethane (PU): it is one of the so called special elastomers. They are called special because they have extraordinary mechanical performances. So they are fit for special uses.
Rubbers used have an hardness from 40 to 80 Shore A.
A special care is given to process optimization, to cycle time reduction, always with a keen eye to the quality of the product, through the choosing of the most suitable rubber mix.
Products performances can be upgraded by using proper inserts.
